Are kids being stimulated enough :(

Recently when observing younger family members., I feel saddened that the children don’t seem to be stimulated much. What are others thoughts ? These children seem happy enough but not teaching developmental milestones like they should.
the tv, phones or iPads seem to be the main form of entertainment.

So dependent on the parents and child, mine have no screen time, never have so they don’t want it, same with a lot of our friends children… I don’t think 1 instance is every child… my children are very stimulated 🙄

I'd say there's a massive cohort of children being brought up with screens as babysitters.

Quite often because the parents have their faces buried in their phones a lot too.

So many kids starting school who are not toilet trained, don't know the alphabet, can't count to 10 and probably won't learn to tie their shoelaces until they're in junior school.

Parents often blame the lockdowns for their children finding communication hard, but some of them need to look a lot closer to home.

My thoughts as well. A close friends younger children can only say a couple of words at two and never walked until similar age. I find it upsetting and sad 😞

I personally think kids are given technology way too young now , my niece was given an iPad an actual iPad for Christmas when she was very young 3 I think and the answer was but all the other kids have them , ended up having to be taken off her she was addicted throw huge tantrums when she couldn't watch it and she is the best behaved child you ever met outside of that. I think a lot of parents are lazy these days and it's easier to put them in front of a television or iPad than entertain them and teach them . It's sad but true

Not sure about this one.

My son had a iPad when he was 3, he's in the top of his year group and exceeding well beyond his peers. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'd they are in front of the iPad 24/7 form a very young age, clearly not.

Language delay is an example of such

If, not I'd
