And the illnesses begin…

My DD only started nursery on Thursday and has already come down with a sickness bug. Both myself and DP have had a nice sick shower this evening! She still seems like her normal happy self and she has just gone down in her cot bless her, but I can’t sleep thinking she’s going to be sick again! I knew she would get ill starting nursery but didn’t think it would happen after two days 😞 I’m also starting to feel a bit queasy 🤢 Wish me luck

When DS started he had 5 weeks of back to back colds. He did also have one occasion of sickness, he got over it quick. I caught a sickness bug at that time and was very ill for two days. I have never been that ill before and I didn’t click on that it was 3 weeks after DS had started, mostly because he was very mild and DH was fine.

He has improved a lot after the start and only caught one cold between 5-18 weeks. Unfortunately we have just moved him to another nursery so the colds etc have started again.

I hope your DD gets better soon and that you manage to avoid or get it mild if so.

Hopefully it's just rotten luck.
We have been going 2 months and been lucky so far with a small cold.

I strip him off as soon as he gets home, and wash his teddy, sleep bag etc . No idea if it helps!

We did also do a probiotic.

It's the dreaming them being sick on a Wednesday and the rest of the week being a right off time of life

My son went back to school Thursday (we're in Ireland) & he's complaining of a sore throat after waking up this morning 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ Hoping it's just tiredness etc as he was with dad Friday night & some of yesterday & he never sleeps well at dads so fingers crossed 🤞🏼

Thanks for your responses. It’s been a horrible week! The whole house came down with the bug and DD has had awful diarrhoea since which shows no signs of stopping and she’s now full of cold and got a cough 😔 Just rang 111 because she’s starting to produce less wet nappies and it’s getting me a bit worried. Just want her better now! @Wingingitmum11 which probiotic do you use? I’ve been googling to see if I can find one to try?
