Early wakes and nap transition?

My DS is 13 months (almost 14 months) and over the past 2/3 weeks has been waking between 5.15 and 5.45 when he would previously sleep til about 6.30 pretty consistently. He also had one day where he was awake from 4.15 til at least 4.50 just babbling to himself.

I'm not sure if he's ready to transition to 1 nap yet or not.

His wake windows are around 4 hours at the moment and sometimes he doesn't seem too tired at bedtime (between 7 and half past). I often have to wake him from his second nap at 3.30 so he can go to bed at 7.30!

Any advice? The early wakes are starting to take their toll! He is also starting with a childminder this week plus already does 1 day of nursery so no idea how to transition to 1 nap there!

As a cm I've always found the naps just transition themselves gradually getting later in the morning until it's around lunch time ...the nap gets longer so they soon sleep 12 ish to 2.
If she's happy in her cot babbling I wouldn't worry especially if she then goes back off just ignore her so she self settles and doesn't get the message it's play time.
Childcare changes are unsettling but the cm should be able to be more flexible to her needs it will be fine.
