I have just suffered a miscarriage over the festive period, and was wondering how long I should leave it before trying again?

So sorry to hear your bad news . I remember when I had mine, 3 months was recommended, but I know of people who have just gone for it straight away, fallen pregnant, and had trouble free pregnancies and births. Good luck with what ever you decide. Hugs to you...

So sorry to hear this. I was advisd to leave it a month but I think it's mainly so that they can date any subsequent pregnancy accurately.

I didn't know you were supposed to wait (and didn't go to GP because it was very early- 4/5 weeks and didn't see the point!). I became pregnant next cycle and all was well.

So sorry to read of your miscarriage. When I had mine my (extremely supportive and kind) GP told me there was no reason medically not to try immediately. We did and I conceived straight away and DD arrived safely 9 mths later. I followed my cycle as normal and watched out for all the usual signs.

Thanks for advice. I think I'll leave it a few months until I have that 'broody' feeling again, which I haven't got at the moment... Luckily I already have a 21 month son so I don't have that much time in the day to sit and brood....

So sorry to read about your news, my thoughts and prayers are with you. We waited for 1 month and caught again fairly soon, subsequently next one is due 12months after my miscarriage. The current advice is to wait at least 1 full cycle so that you can get your dates. Realistically though wait till you feel ready. Allow yourself time to grieve.
