Hey, does it look like my 4 month old is teething?
He's dribbling loads and biting his hands constantly.
On the bottom on his gums he has little dents not sure if you can see clearly on the pictures
Thankyou

Unlikely to be true teething, the white nubs will be a lot more apparent when that happens. Dribbling and gnawing on hands v normal at this age. Teeth might be moving about in the gums.

Hi,

No real advice I'm afraid but following with interest- my also 4 month old is showing the same behaviours but also become very fussy on feeding. She is bottle bed and now it's a battle every time to get her to have more than a few oz- we weren't sure if it was hurting her little gums!

We have just bought some teething gel to try and rule this out..

My little girl got her first 2 teeth at the same age. So it is possible but it's been 5 years so hard to remember exactly x

Yes, definitely possible, though not common - my little was very uncomfortable for a week or so at 5 months but teeth didn't erupt for another 6 weeks - I put it down to movement in the gums and tried to offer age appropriate relief as far as I could, teething powder and cold things and a bit of Calpol as appropriate!
All we can do is react to what we're seeing and if they seem uncomfortable try to resolve it for them! 🤷🏼‍♀️
Good luck!

Very likely to be teething. Both of mine got first teeth at 12 weeks and their gums looked like that.
