Hi I'm in a bit of a dilemma. My ex and father of our nearly 5 year old daughter shacked up with someone with 4 kids nearly 18 months ago. Number 5 another boy is due very soon with my ex and will be sharing with mum and dad indefinitely. She has a boy 16, boy just turned 10 and boy nearly 4 in 1 bedroom. The box room is the 13 year old girls and there is no space for my daughter to share with her. When the girl is sleeping out the 16 y.o goes in there or on the sofa if she's not to make space for my daughter. My daughter very rarely stays over as he's a useless dad and there is no court order in place. I have no issues with my daughter sharing with the nearly 4 y.o boy or the 13 y.o girl if that was possible. My issue is the 10 y.o boy. Its a 2 double 1 box room terrace private rent. They are awaiting social rehousing to a 5 bed but I dont think that will happen for years with the housing crisis and 5 beds being rare. I have told him my feelings and said unless they private rent somewhere with an extra bedroom for my daughter to share with the little boy or one big enough for her to share with the teenage girl, that she will no longer be staying over. What is everyone's opinion?

I think fair enough. If she has no place suitable for her to sleep she doesn’t go there to sleep

Yes just say no overnights. I can’t imagine he’ll want to with it already being that crowded. Just the thought of that many people in a small 2 bed house makes me twitchy- I couldn’t deal with it! If he’s a
useless dad just let the contact fade. What a waste of space man.

He wasn't happy and started raising his voice before storming off. He's a narcissist and I was emotionally abused by him. I stand up to him a lot now which obviously he doesn't like but I have that constant reminder of our daughter who loves her daddy. She's starting to notice things but it will be a while before she realises what a prick he is
