Long story short, my ex has in the past let my son (3yo) down so many times, tried to force the sale of the house (even though we had nowhere to go), failed to provide nurofen after injections, failed to buy shoes when needed, failed to change underwear, failed to wash/brush sons teeth.... Fast forward and house is sold, we've moved on. Lately ex has been verbally abusive (as he has been previously) as he thinks I co-sleep. I recieve a video taken by my ex with my 3yo in total distress as he wants to come home. The fact that my 3yo needed reassurance but instead was faced with a camera in is face has been the last straw for me. I can't send him back, even though I always said, my son would never be able to say that I stopped him from seeing his dad!
Am I doing the right thing? Any other advice? 😢
