I would really aporeciate ideas of what a healthy childhood looks like for children aged 8 to 12 - but maybe I mean 8 and up. What would be a full and satisfying life for children that age - with time for school work, hobbies, play. I realised I don't have a template for it from my own childhood as I was either in childcare or at stage school. We have no family around so can't plan that into a standard week.
Mainly, how does a good childhood look for older children in terms of routine? What do they do after school? How do you make sure they're entertained? How much time do you spend doing things with them and what sort of things is it that you do together?
Any thoughts and examples would be greatly appreciated
