10 week old sleeping 8 hours a night

So I'm very very aware I'm blessed as both my children have been amazing sleepers. My 10 week old now sleeps 10pm until 6/7am. She has 6 5oz bottles a day, is on the 50th percentile. She has mild reflux, but very mildly. And for the last 3 weeks she's slept 8 hours a night. Have no concern. Wet nappies, poops once/twice a day

I've just watched a Tik tok however describing her 8 week old exactly like my baby and she said she hates the baby sleeping through the night. She stated that the baby is formula fed, sleeps 6 hours at night, gaining weight. But it stresses her out how long the baby sleeps at night. She thinks something will happen to the baby or something is wrong because they aren't waking for a feed

Now my concern is, I thought a hungry baby wouldn't sleep and you shouldn't wake a sleeping baby. I feed on demand, so my daughter will tell me when she's hungry and she won't sleep if she's hungry. But her watching this woman's video I feel like I'm doing something wrong letting my baby sleep 8 hours a night without a feed in that time

Just in case you’re not aware, your profile info comes up when you share a link to a TikTok. You can change it in Settings > privacy > suggest your account to others > people who open or send links to you (turn off).

It’s fine. They do go through a short phase of this around this age. It doesn’t last, so I would enjoy it and catch up on sleep while you can.

Enjoy it while it lasts because it might not, sorry!

Ignore TikTok, it's fine. Mine used to cluster feed in the late afternoon for about 3 hours, then slept 7-7 from 9 weeks onwards (I used to lie to the women in my NCT group about him still waking in the night as they didn't believe me...). I never woke him up, he was fine.

My dad was born at 28 weeks and was 36 weeks gestation when he came home. He came home on a strict feeding 4h schedule as he was still only 5lb8. The first night he slept through and my nan went with the don't wake a sleeping baby. He was completely fine and slept through from then on. I probably would have still woken him at least until term but nevermind!

If they are getting enough food in 24h and are gaining well and otherwise thriving just follow their lead

Ignore tik tok.

My second slept without waking from around 4 weeks. I never woke her.... I had 2 tiny kids and needed the rest! Plenty of people told me I should be waking her though, but I think it's just old school advice and a touch of jealousy from some!

My eldest DD slept from 10pm till around 5-6am would wake for a feed and then sleep for another couple of hours. She did this from around 8 weeks old. Then by 4 months she would sleep from 7-8pm till 5-6am feed and then sleep for another couple of hours.

She continued to do this until she was weaned and then started sleeping 7.30pm for 12 + hours. This has continued - now 5 years. She is absolutely fine. So I wouldn't worry.

(Ps my other DDs never really slept till 18 months. So all babies are different!)

This sounds exactly like my 2 year old
