5 month old not taking milk - teething?

Hi everyone

my 5 month old today has been so funny with his milk, he is on 5oz every 2-3 hours and is only taking about 2oz of each bottle and is really not interested. He is 100% teething but I’m just worried he’s not got enough in his tummy. He’s perfect fine other than this, no temp, playing quite happily. Is this normal when teething?

Thanks

Are you using a pain reliever OP, like Ibruprofen and a teething gel?

Teething can put them off their food for a few days at a time

I'd swap to Nurofen, it's much better for dental pain. Like the PP said though, it's quite normal for them to be off their milk for a few days and should make up for it when they're feeling a bit better.

Have you tried giving them a clean, cool, damp flannel to chew on?
