Hi all I've posted quite a bit recently as a FTM. My 10 week old had her 1 set of vaccinations last Thursday and had a high temp 38.9 and a lot of dirty nappies . I'm just wondering should I expect more of the same for the next lot or do they tend to tolerate them a little better ? We are an hour away from the hospital so my nerves will be shot to bits when she does have the next lot

That’s normal second one isn’t so bad as the don’t have the men b jab on that one and that’s was causes the fever. The reaction she has had is perfectly normal so I wouldn’t worry about hospital visits the bad nappies and temp are listed as side effects. Horrible for the little ones but doesn’t last long and for the best in the long run

My first had a bad time with the first lot of jabs, just the same as yours, temp, horrible nappies and needing lots of extra love. Then then next were a breeze but the 1 year old ones a bit tough. My second breezed through them until the one year jabs when she certainly felt sorry for herself. It just ended up being lots of cuddles and extra sleep though, so although I felt very sorry for her, it was a few days of easier mum-ing than running after a toddler whose just learnt to run and climb everything in sight! Good luck xx

Second lot are usually a bit easier, give Calpol 20-30 mins beforehand
Mine were better if I fed them during too
