Going abroad without a CAO

Me and ex partner share our 6 month old daughter. I have a holiday booked for 7 weeks time for 10 days.
When holiday was booked ex partner said he had no issue with the holiday but is now saying he doesn’t agree with it.
i have the message that says he has no issue with the holiday. Would this be a problem if he try’s to say I took her without permission?

It could. He has refused permission.

Dick move on his part. Can you submit a specific issues order application urgently? Just for this holiday initially, then sort out a CAO when you get back.

(My ex did this, I took him to court and won of course, what sort of dad refuses permission to go on holiday but I had 12 weeks notice)

Sorry it’s actually 5 weeks I go away not 7.
i could apply for a specific issue order but everywhere I look online says 5/6 weeks for initial hearing so don’t know if it would be dealt with in time.

Maybe a solicitors letter, saying that as he has previously given permission that the holiday was booked on this basis, and as he subsequently refused you will be seeking full reimbursement of all costs plus? Apply for the SIO anyway, not sure if there's any way you can mark it urgent?

You can’t take your child abroad without permission from the father unless you have a court order.

I know I can’t take her without permission but my issue is he said he was fine with me taking her when it was booked and now weeks away from the holiday has decided he is not giving consent. Surely it’s not right that he can do that?
