Understanding child maintenance

Hi all,

Applied for CMS on Saturday morning for my abusive ex to pay for our son for basic needs and so a little nervous on his response. I truly am expecting a lot of abuse on the back of it.
He is in an IVA - will he just be able to get out of it because of this?

What if he were to just ignore the letters from CMS? I have provided name DOB address phone number and work address.

No but he may be able to get the IVA reasessed, it won't affect what you are due though.

No, he won't be able to get out of it. The IVA payments will need to be recalculated to take into account any maintenance due.

Do you have his address, place of work etc?

It'll take time but they'll get an attachment of earnings eventually
