Does this sound like CMPA?

Hello everyone,
My LG is now 12 weeks old but has struggled with the following symptoms since birth. She has always been formula fed and we have tried switching her milk from Kendamil to SMA to see if this was the issue but symptoms persist.
We use Dr Brown bottles size 1 teat.
Wind every 2oz and she burps really well and will also pass wind herself throughout the day.
Had her assessed by a tongue tie specialist who says she has a slight posterior tie but she was reluctant to cut it as she has plenty of movement and her tongue rests at the top of her mouth.

Symptoms :

  • silent reflux (doesn’t spit up & is never sick)
  • foul smelling nappies
  • wheeze when sleeping - however GP said she may have a floppy larynx?
  • passes wind constantly throughout the day (as loud as man) & will sometimes cry when passing wind
  • irritable and generally unhappy baby. During wake windows she may spend about half an hour of this smiling and chatting away but then becomes irritable and crying

Spoke with the GP who advised us to try anti reflux milk.

Any help would be grateful 😌

It sounds as if it could be CMPA but the only real way of telling is to eliminate milk from her diet or at least try a hydrolysed formula.

You could always call Allergy UK and talk it through with them.

And I'd get the TT divided if you can. We had years of trouble with DS with an undiagnosed tie including sleep, chewing and speech.
