8 month old feeding and routine

Hi all,

So my little girl is now eating 3 meals a day and she dropped to 2 naps around a month ago. This is our general routine...

7.30 - wake and breastfeed
9.00 - breakfast
10.45 - nap
12.15 - wake and breastfeed
1.45 - lunch
3.30 - nap
4.15 - wake up and breastfeed
6.00 - dinner
7.45 - bottle and bed
1-2 night feeds

However this whole schedule moves back and forth depending on when she wakes up. I.e. if she wakes at 6.30, all the timings shift forward an hour.

I was just wondering whether it is better to have set times for her meals? Will this help cement a more regular bedtime and wake time?

Do the timings of milk and food seem okay? I always breastfed on waking so just continued that when she weaned. She has sometimes not been interested in milk after her first nap and at bedtime will only have 2-3oz now rather than 5-6 that she was having before starting on solids.

That all seems fine. I would just go with the flow. The problem with having set meal times is that nothing in life is really set in stone. You can’t plan for an extra long nap or getting stuck in traffic coming home or a nappy explosion. Just feed her when it works. Eventually lunch will shift earlier as the morning nap disappears, but I wouldn’t try to force anything now.
