Hi all,

Just looking for some advice re toilet training. My son is 2y9m and we started toilet training on Saturday. We are using the approach that advocates bottomless for a few days so they get used to the sensation of needing to wee and then shorts and finally underwear and shorts to avoid the underwear being confused for nappies. All was going well, bar a few small accidents to begin he was using the potty successfully. However when we put shorts on we immediately began to have accidents. Not sure where to go from here?

He must be trained in order to attend Montessori which begins in 15 days.

Thanks so much for any help!

Mine did this - we went back to bare bum and dresses then v loose shorts, then tighter shorts, then underwear. It’s been 3 weeks since we started, she has hardly any accidents now but had loads when we first put her in underwear after 3 days.
