Own cot?

My DS is 3 months old (almost 15 weeks). He’s been rolling over for around 2 weeks now, he had great control with his head etc. I’m finding he’s getting really frustrated during the night constantly rolling but there not being enough room. I’m considering purchasing a cot and putting him in that (it would still be in my bedroom) as we haven’t even started his just yet! He loves sleeping on his tummy and he just seems so restricted in his next to me. Anyone else done this?

Well, yes. Most babies sleep in cots.

We had ours in a cot in our room since birth.

Yes, mine went into their cots at about 4 months I think. The next to me was great to start with but they grew out of them quickly.

Make sure you put baby to bed on their back OP, but if baby rolls on their own leave them to it.

@Perfect28 yeah I always put my baby on his back but he always rolls himself onto his tummy!

We switched over about that time too, and had her cot in our room.

We bought a space saving cot, the John Lewis basics one. She's 2.5 years old now and still fits in it very well!

@Dollmeup thank you! He’s definitely running out of space so I think I’ll look into getting a cot for him

@virgo22 this is the one :)

Although, when I bought it back in November 2021 it was only £70... it's quite shocking to see it's very nearly doubled in price!!!!

I found this at John Lewis & Partners. What do you think https://www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-anyday-elementary-cot/white/p5496265?tmad=c&tmcampid=7&sshare=jlappioss_Y29tLmFwcGxlLlVJS2l0LmFjdGl2aXR5LkNvcHlUb1Bhc3RlYm9hcmQ=
