Block 2 oh crap training method

Hi,

How many accidents in block 2 is normal?

Started it yesterday, had 3 wee accidents yesterday & 2 wee accidents today so far
Did his first poo on the potty yesterday

I want to persevere as he’s 4 in November so really want him potty trained & he was doing so well in block 1, no accidents at all after day 1

I’m hoping it clicks in a few days, he’s speech delayed at the mo so can’t tell me when he needs to go, he usually comes up to me and pushes me to the potty

I don't know how helpful this is but we had absolutely loads of accidents for quite some time. In the end, just accepted it would be that way.

Yes i’ll just have to accept accidents will happen
Can’t resort back to nappies with him almost being 4 & he was doing so well on block 1 so I will have to just push on & hopefully it will click soon then can go on to underwear 🤞🏻
When did you introduce underwear?

Following this as we’re struggling a bit with block 2. Naked he nailed it so we went to block 2 on day 4. We’re now day 8 (so day 5 of block 2) and although he totally gets he needs to use the potty he’s only getting/giving us 0.5 secs notice so having loads of accidents. He doesn’t really have a ‘tell’ because in block 1 he just took himself to the potty. We’re probably paying a little less attention to him as the baby has been home with us over the weekend (usually at nursery, older one has been at home with us off work this week). Older one is back at nursery tomorrow and I’m really anxious about it as I don’t want them to put him back in nappies if he has accidents. Not sure what else we can do.
