9 month old schedule

I am trying to make some changes to my almost 9 month olds schedule as he is wanting quite big feeds overnight - usually 2. Once at 11pm and another around 4am (which I would like to drop). Tried offering water overnight but he is just too hungry. Sometimes he wakes at 2am as well as 4am. His schedule is roughly:

6am Wake (I don’t offer milk as since he’s usually had a feed at 4am).
7am Breakfast
9am Milk then a nap.
11:30 Lunch
12.30/1 Milk then a nap.
3pm Snack or Milk
4.30/5 Dinner
6pm Milk and Bed

He doesn’t eat a huge amount of solids, particularly at dinner. Which I’m sure would fill him up better for bed. He is EFB - at daycare he has a 100-120ml bottle offered before his naps (that’s all I can manage to pump twice a day).

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I think it's quite normal to wake twice in the night at that age, isn't it? My dc1 woke at least 4 times in the night still at that age. My dc2 is about that age now and wakes up between 2 and 5 times a night.

I'm not sure that changing the daily routine would necessarily fix it. I think it's just a case of being patient until their body is ready to sleep longer. With my dc1 there was a real step change around 16-18 months old.

Unfortunately when they're that little they're governed by their tummies and there's practically nothing you can do about it until they're ready to sleep through. It varies massively from baby to baby, my son started sleeping through at 12 weeks, my daughter didn't start until about 10 months. You just have to go with it until they're ready

Sounds identical to my 9m old
Personally think it's very normal for two wakes

But hopefully someone can given some ideas on what you can try soon

Does he completely finish the bottles? If so he may want more. My 9month old has 180ml twice a day usually, but formula which I appreciate is a hell of a lot easier than pumping! But if he doesnt finish them or only just finishes them then that’s obviously a good amount for him.

Does he have a favourite food? If so you could try switching whatever he has for breakfast over to dinner time. Eg if he usually eats a good amount of eg porridge you could try that for dinner and something else (eg eggs and avocado and fruit?) for breakfast.
