At what age is it cringey to refer to your parents as "mummy and daddy"?

My nephew is 21

DH and I cringe every time

His younger brother doesn't (too cool, no doubt)

I think it dependd on where you live and where you went to school
i must be super common as I call them mam and dad

ds1 always calls me mum and occasionally mam. mostly calls dh dad and daddy someitmes
ds2 tends to call me mum but calls me mummy more than ds2 does. calls dh daddy most of the time

not sure why they call me mum when all around them refer to their 'mum' as mam. Suspect it is because dh refers to me as their 'mum'

ds is 2 and calls me 'mum'. dd is 6 and will be calling me 'mummy' till she's 80.

I still call my mum 'mummy' to her face but refer to her as 'mum'.

I am from India though and in hindi 'mummy' doesn't sound so cheesy. When I moved here, I used to refer to her as 'my mummy' and then thught 'what?!?'. It just doesn't sound right in english so switched to refering to her as 'my mum'.
