How often should my 12 week old be feeding?

Hello! Just after a bit of advice on how often my 12 week old should be feeding?

At the moment he's screaming for milk every 2 - 2 1/2 hours and I've read only it should be 3-4 hours! He will drink 6-7 ounces per feed. Am I overfeeding him ? I read somewhere babies can ask for milk more often if overfed but I don't understand why 🤭

Forgot to say, he's lactose intolerant so I opted to formula feed after we found out

I think at that age we were still feeding on demand but my DD did take smaller bottles. She never fed less often an every 3 hours during the day but was quite a good sleeper and stopped feeding overnight by 6-7 months.

If you are pace feeding it’s actually quite hard to overfeed babies.

Unless he's being violently sick he's probably just a hungry baby. I remember my sister having to feed hers every 2 hours. She put him on hungry baby formula in the end though not sure they do a lactose free one
