sorry but I need to moan.

I am so tired and worn down. I have two big assignments due in next monday and I am so tired. I read through what I have done so far and I am so far from happy with it and it could be so much better if I had time and head space but I just don't and I can;t work out how to do it.

I work when I can but find it very hard with the children around so it is often late nights or early mornings.

No-one else on my course has children and I don't know anyone in RL with children and studying so it feels a bit lonely at times.

Can I join too? I too am doing a doctorate in Clinical Psychology (well, trying to anyway)and am finding it soo tough. There's no way I can work whilst baby awake and am too tired when he is finally asleep AND we have both been so ill since he started nursery. Feel like I am permanently on verge of collapse!

Just found this thread again.

It seems like we all have really similar issues combining children and studying is a mare!

I personally don't know any other student parents in my uni (Cardiff). All the others on my course are childless and it frustrates me how much harder I have to work to fit it all in. However, the benefit is that I am very dedicated and work much harder to compensate which can't be a bad lesson to learn in life hey?

Hope I can join in too - I have exams starting on Tuesday and despite having organised childcare all this week ( with voting day off yesterday and inset day today - grrrr) I have managed to procrastinate all week and still don't know it and am just going to fail.

I haven't had a glass of wine for over 2 weeks, it's Friday, the sun is shining and I have the prospect of the entire bank holiday weekend revising! If I was a 'proper' student, I would sack it off for a barbie and a bottle of wine ! My god I cannot wait til next Friday for this all to be over !

No-one on my course has children either - but actually they are all very understanding - lots of "don't know how you do it" etc. which makes me feel bad because everyone has stuff on in their lives. My DH works away M-F though so I can get on with it in the evenings pretty well, but just totally lost all motivation today.........help !
