Hi All,

My LO who is 10onths old was trying to climb onto my lap and I was reading to him, he got excited and then banged his head onto my tooth!

I feel so bad, the teeth scratched his head and he has a little scar😭

I'm just panicking thinking what do I do, what would you advice in this scenario please?

Just give him a kiss and cuddle. And give yourself a break. He will be fine.

What do you mean? You don’t do anything?

Accidents happen, and as he starts to walk there are going to be a LOT of bumps to his head, lots of falls. Probably a couple of golf balls size bumps on his head too.

Just like any cut, look at it every now and then to ensure it doesn’t get infected.
Going forward beware of future head-butting opportunities. Super common but you don’t want to loose your teeth/a tooth from a head but, toys getting thrown or temper tantrum feet in the face,

Take a look at the cut and make sure you keep it clean.

I'd be worried about the tooth if it was a hard blow Sad

Develop the “defensive kiss” for the next time it happens. I spent a lot of time forcibly pouting my lips to prevent injury.

I thought this was going to be a ‘my baby knocked my tooth out’ thread, it was always one of my biggest fears Grin

Your baby will be fine op, don’t worry.

It's not a scar, it's a scratch or a scab. It will heal

You all are so sweet and reassuring. Thank you so much. I followed the advice you all gave and it made me feel better. The scab is also gone. Thank you all x
