Baby rolling in sleep

My son is 5.5 months old he has now started to roll over in his sleep . He sleeps in a next to me . It is disrupting both of our sleep which I know it's normal as it's a new skill he's learnt . I'm not sure if I now need to put him in his big boy cot . Is there anything I can do to help him learn to roll from his tummy to his back in his sleep . He knows how to do this on his play mat when doing tummy time but not in his bed for some reason .
Any advice
😊

My ds started sleeping on his front around that age, IIRC it's ok as long as they are actually able to roll (and you don't put them down face down) - maybe supervise a bit but it could be just his preference?

He hasn't learnt to roll back over yet so will be stuck on his belly crying till I help him back . He burying his head into the mattress so that's why I'm constantly up extra in the night making sure he's okay
