Sticky eyes

Has anyone found anything to help with newborn sticky eyes?
We were told to use cool boiled water and do tear duct massaging but it doesn't seem to be clearing up. There is no sign of infection and no sign of it bothering her. It just won't clear up.

You can use breast milk or colostrum if you are BF or harvested any in pregnancy x

Breastmill worked for my eldest, pop a bit on a cotton pad and swipe, separate pads for each eye.

If cool boiled water and tear duct massage aren’t resolving your newborn’s sticky eyes, try using a clean, soft cloth each time you wipe her eyes to avoid irritation.

Consider whether allergies might be a factor, though this is less common in very young babies. If the issue persists, consult your pediatrician for further advice, as they may recommend seeing a specialist or checking for any underlying conditions.

I am glad you are concerned about this to such an extent i would suggest for you to not take this lightly, especially with a newborn.
Hope evrything gets better!

She's got her 6 week check up at the end of next week so if it carries on I'll mention it to the dr :)
