Holiday

In march I booked a caravan holiday for my partner and his 4 children and myself and 2 of my children, my 17 year old didn't want to come.
Now that the holidays coming up my ds has changed his mind and wants to come but there's only enough room for 8 and if I change the holiday now then I will lose the money I've paid. I've looked at him camping on the same site which he was happy with the idea of but they only do touring pitches.

I'm at a loss but I don't want to tell him he can't come. Does anyone have any way I can fix this please?
Holidays in 22 days.

Book a second caravan? 8 in a caravan sounds horrendous anyway!

@Plimsoll73 even the cheaper caravans are £1500 for the week. 6 young ish children in a caravan is a nightmare anyway but this year has been a rough one and I can't afford to just pay out for another one.

Do you have a tent? If not can you borrow one off someone and set it up for him when you get there on the touring pitches?

Could you book him into a nearby (inexpensive) B&B? Assuming you have a car, you could pick him up each day and drop him back at night. Not ideal and extra expense. Or, do they have larger vans that you could upgrade to?

Honestly, I'd just take him but make it clear that some activity provided are a no go.
Where does everyone sleep? There's usually a big couch / sofa in the sitting room that can be converted into a bed... or get a small pop up tent for your outside space.
