i am trying very hard to remember that at 10 and 11,they are only children.however, they have been causing trouble for my dd(9) today, and they and the girl who lives 2 doors down have had her in tears.its all because yesterday i was out in the back street with dd2(2.4)and she went into the neighbours back yard(the gate was open and all i did was go and get her out quickly).

from what i can gather, the 10+11 year old have told the neighbour that dd2 was in her back yard, messing about with all her stuff etc,and the neighbour had a go at dd1 saying 'how would you like it if my little sister went in your back yard?not that she would cos she's better than your sister'etc.

all 3 of them went on to give dd1 dirty looks and whisper about her,and shout insults at her.

the 10+11 year old girls are a bit 'hard',for want of a better word, and are always hanging around the street.they are nice to dd when nobody else is around, but they have been nasty in the past to her.

i dont know if any of this makes sense, but i dont know what to do.tbh i get upset about things like this,it sounds pathetic but it reminds me of when i was bullied at school.i never learnt how to deal with girls like this back then, and i dont know how to help my dd deal with them now

It doesn't get easier does it? I think she just needs to stay out of their way and look for more positive friendships. Good luck.
