6 week old - what’s this rash?!

My guess was heat rash when it appeared just over a week ago, when it was really hot.

however it’s not gone since, even on the days/evenings when it has been cool. It definitely looks worse when he is hot and his skin in redder. It’s only on his trunk and slightly on his upper arms, in the areas that would be covered by a short sleeved vest. Baths don’t have any affect on it. Totally well in himself, no temperature

Any ideas?

Congrats on your new baby! No harm to ring your GP or health visitor to get them to take a look.

Is it blanching when pressed on? If it is it's probably just a case of baby acne but absolutely worth a second opinion to make sure.

Could it be a cows milk allergy?

My daughter comes up in a rash after reactions to food and it usually takes 6 weeks of regular aqueous cream/epiderm/steroid creams and antihistamines to get it to go.

My baby has the exact same rash, gets worse with heat. I keep her as cool as possible (no vest) and use kokoso oil as many times per day as you can. It has cleared up massively now and the kokoso keeps it under control.

I sure about the rash.

That looks like some scratches alongside the rash spots.

Any chance your baby got scratched/stung by greenery at the park?

Has your baby been scratching in response to the rash?

Might be a good idea to put mittens on if yes to the latter

Did you ever get to the bottom of this rash?
