Hi, sorry just wanted to ask I’ve started potty training my 2 and a year old, we started Friday just gone (we did try before but she wasn’t ready and I didn’t want to push anything) the first 2 days she had a few accidents which is expected then the next 2 days she had no accidents at all and was even asking to go to the potty instead of me asking and taking herself to it but today she’s had 3 accidents and I just feel like am I doing something wrong or is this all part of potty training and some days will be fab and some days she will have some accidents again?
sorry if that sounds stupid just wondering and wanting to get some advice really cause everyone says different and every child is different as well of course, sorry just wanted to ask, thanks!

Yes that's normal OP. The novelty wears off and they have a few accidents. Don't worry she'll get the hang of it soon!

Accidents are all part of potty training so try and relax. Is she is underwear and trousers and having accidents in those? Only asking as leggings or anything with really thin material at the waist, my daughter struggled to get her fingers in to pull them down. We potty trained over autumn so I had her in joggers and no knickers as the thick waist band was easier for her to get to grips with

Thanks both and thanks for the kind words as well!
I’ve got her mostly in dresses at the moment so she can just lift it up and pull her knickers down and a way to go, but that’s definitely handy to know about the leggings when it comes to autumn time, thank you!

I potty trained my dd back in April when she'd just turned 2 and in 5 days she'd cracked it. It's nearly august now and there are still the odd days here and there when she has accidents. It's usually when she's tired. Will probably still occasionally happen when she's 3 tbh, it's just part of having young child.

Very normal. As with all things that children learn, theyt experiment. They learn how long they can hold it by failing to hold it IYSWIM. Keep praising succeses.
