I know there are lots of other threads on the same subject, but I was just wondering if anyone has come up with a miracle cure in the last few days!!

my ds is 2.7 and started off really well with his potty training - 2 hours out of nappies he requested the potty and did a poo. 2 months later he will deny having pooed in his pants (he blames his sister for the smell!!) and makes a proper fuss if we try to "force" him to sit on the potty. if we don't wheedle/trick/bribe him to go for a wee then he just does it on the floor. hasn't requested the toilet/potty once in 2 weeks.
am i flogging a dead horse? shall i give up and put him back into nappies? i have two reasons not to want to - first is playgroup for which he is supposed to be clean and dry. he loves it and don't really want to take him out. second is that i use a laundry service and have cancelled it for him - now just have it for dd who is 10m. feel like I am failing a parenting test if i have to start it again.

we have tried stickers/sweeties for successes, but he thinks that as long as he sits on the toilet/potty then he is eligable (even if his clothes are in a wet dirty pile on the floor and he doesn't have anything left for the toilet/potty!
help!!
