Most mums I know use and have the first one.

I have the second one but the amount of times she wrote 'my Nina' about her daughter drove me up the wall (which I know is ridiculous, but there you go)

The one thing I recommend above all else is to follow Solid Starts on Instagram and get their app too. They are very focused on the techniques of weaning your baby, learning to chew, swallow, spit etc and giving you confidence when it comes to gagging vs. choking.

My 8month old has no teeth but will confidently munch through anything I give her. All credit to solid starts and it makes life so much easier when you can just give them what you're having.

I used "what mummy makes" with my first and loved it so much we carried on using it and are now using it with our second baby. And I definitely second using solid starts, such a useful tool.

Honestly you don't need to do special food.

Just don't add salt when cooking and baby can eat what you do as a mixture of spoon and finger food.

Thank you

I wouldn’t bother with a book. I did use the River Cottage Baby and Toddler Cookbook because things like Pinterest were still very new. But really, just offer what you’re making yourself with minor adjustments and look on Pinterest, find a few blogs you quite like.
