How old is "too childish"

Help, my 10 yo daughter is getting on really well at school and gets good marks and is really smart for her age (and not just cos I'm mum lol). When she's out with friends though she acts childish or hounds them and won't let up. You can see the other kids sometimes trying to get away from her like they would with a younger sibling. I'm worried she'll end up with no friends or they just won't want to play with her.

Try doing some role play and narrate what's going on if you're worried?

Is she neurotypical?

What have you tried saying to her about it?

I'd keep chatting about her behaviour. I often tell stories about what I did as a kid and how others didn't like it as a way to get the message across without directly criticising.

In my experience, your DC's classmates will soon tell her outright and she will learn that she can't behave like that.
