DS nearly 5 , been toilet trained for years , very occasionally wets bed if he's in a deep sleep or drank lots in day, never made an issue of it, we've always just quickly sorted sheets and put him back to bed etc

He always goes for a wee before bed

A few times I've heard him get up in night, and I've seen him attempting to wee by bathroom etc as he's clearly been in a very deep sleep and and confused, always just redirect him to toilet and all been fine but usually he gets up, goes straight to toilet and back to bed

Tonight I was lying in bed and heard a nosie, assumed he was getting up for a wee and didn't think nothing of it, I then heard a little more noise and a thud. I went into his room and he was lying in his bed, I asked him of he was okay, he said ' I slipped ' I then realised he'd weed on floor, slipped in it and got back into bed.

I shouted and him for not telling me, and i really don't know why and I feel dreadful. He got upset but he was clearly still half asleep and confused And I don't think he'd even really realised what he'd done

Sorted out the wee etc and cleaned him all up etc and I gave him a hug and said sorry, but I just feel like a complete bitch😢 as I said before, I never ever make issues of anything like this, i think I was just more surprised he didn't come and tell me what had happened (even though I clearly know now it's because it was basically asleep when doing it )
