So my youngest is 15 months old and she started a habit with pulling her sister hair who is 5 and although I get her off her hair she does occasionally go upto he again which I have been trying to stop her.
However earlier my mum was round and my youngest daughter pulled my 5 year olds hair, she screamed and my 15 month old smiled at this I think because she got a reaction.
My mum sweeped in and pulled my 15 month olds hair quite hard to make her cry and she said it was that she needs to know it hurts and how it feels and now she will stop. I became a bit upset by this because my 15 month old started crying and I was told I was being over the top and that children are like little puppies that need training. I get that it is a different era where older generation did smack ect but my mum says I've tried to make her feel awful.
In my mum's defence she said I bet she won't pull hair anymore now and that her grandma would of done the same.
