Play gyms for 1 year old

My DS will be turning one towards the end of the year, and I am thinking about asking DGPs for an indoor play set for him for his birthday/Christmas present.

I was thinking of the below photo, but unsure if my DS would be too young at 1, and if it's better to wait for his second birthday? Or would he like it at around 18 months so better to get in advance then wait?

The only other slightly older toddler I know is 20 months and so I don't have a lot of toddlers around to relate the age/stage they would be at after 1.

Any advice or other recommendations appreciated!

This type of set has a lifespan of 1 year. I think it will be fine for a 2 year old but by 3 they’ll be ready for more of a challenge. You’re better off requesting something more advanced that’s fixed in the garden and you can supervise during the early years
