Best name tags for uniform

I have tried so many tags and stickers to label my kids uniform, but so far, they all eventually end up stick to the sides of the washing machine. Can anyone recommend some non-sew tags that don't come off?

I'm assuming you've tried Stikins, which seem to be the most long lasting of all the name sticker brands out there. If so then how about a stamp?

@Whinge maybe I need to try stikins again - it's been a few years. The stamps have been terrible - ink runs on all fabrics so you can't make out the name. Thank you for reminding me of stikins

A sharpie is the best solution I’ve found. It lasts, it’s cheap, you only need one no matter how many children.

A laundry pen seems to work best for me. Otherwise I use Stickins, but they don't last forever. I get a good few months though.

I second the stamp linked too above, it's not faded on anything I've used it on yet even the water bottle when chucked in the dishwasher.

Stickins are fine at actually staying on when washed etc but can be peeled off very easily in my experience so pointless in preventing uniform being taken by others.

Mynametags are good but the best is a laundry pen ime

I just used a sharpie on the label. It stays and is loads less hassle.

Old fashioned sew-in Cash's name tapes. Don't come off in the wash and don't fade.

Stamptastic is fab for printing it on to the label.

Alas only woven ones sewn in actually last, I bought 12 dozen for each of mine to start school, lasted right through and youngest then uses in her military uniform (the bits that don't have her name on like sports)

Stikins and Stamptastic. Stikins are great for plastics, shoes, bags and putting on clothing labels (they don't recommend putting straight on e.g. shirt collars as they come off). That can be a pain if there isn't a label up there or if you have a sensitive DC who needs labels cutting out. That's where Stamptastic is better. I use both.
