Heat rash or something else?

Young child, rash on the back/sides of the neck. Itchy and seems to flare up and down. Now on day 3. Doesn’t seem to have spread (maybe very slightly down towards top of back). Itchy in other body parts (mainly legs!) hasn’t had rash anywhere else.

Seems otherwise well, he’s just bothered by the itching.

He did complain of being itchy when getting home from nursery the day before the rash began and said they’d used different suncream (applied to face, neck, ears & arms).

Heat rash? Suncream reaction? Is a reaction to suncream likely if face/arms etc are fine?

Try giving some piriton to see if it takes it away.

@DustyLee123 I should have mentioned that, sorry. Gave yesterday and again this morning. Seems to calm the itch but the neck rash remains

I'm assuming you have done the glass test ? I'd give an antihistamine and if it hasn't helped by tomorrow even with the itch I'd get it checked to be safe

@LizzeyBenett Yeah it’s always the first thing I check. Antihistamine seems to be taking away the itch.
He mad mild eczema as a baby and I’m actually wondering if it’s a bit of a flare up of that.
