Advice wanted 🥺 feel really down the last 2 days. All of a sudden my supply has really dropped. I would be able to pump 10+ oz from one side and now I’m really struggling. My boobs don’t feel full anymore, really soft and empty but I know that can happen as your milk starts to regulate but if it has does what mean this will be all I produce now? I’m barely making enough for her in the day and now have to give a couple bottles of formular. Any advice ladies, did anything work for you to get your supply up and how long did it take? I really do not want to give up this journey

How old is your baby

Pumping is no indication of supply
a baby is much more efficient at getting milk from a boob
why do you think you’re not producing enough
baby’s feeds will get shorter as they get older, and as long as baby is weeing and pooing; alert and gaining weight that all says your aupplu is doing great

I'm sure others will be along soon with better advice but I've been feeding it over 3 years and honestly one of the best things I did was just continually offer the breast. I stopped pumping quite early on (I only used to help with engorgement) but it meant that my milk regulated and I used wet and dirty nappies + weight gain as confirmation that my little one was getting all that they needed.

I'm sure you're doing amazingly well. It's hard work and you just do what's right for you. Keep offering and focus on the wet nappies as a good indicator that baby is getting what they need.

Are you eating enough?

If you’re giving formula - stop
this meand your baby isn’t stimulating your milk production
if your baby is young, then skin to skin, feed a lot and and snuggle with them
this will all help

How old is your baby? That’s very relevant as after a few months, your supply regulates and it might feel like there’s nothing there but there really is.

Are you exclusively pumping or also breastfeeding? How old is the our baby?

Happened to me when I got my period.

I managed to get back my supply with power pumping (20 minutes pump, 10 min break, 10 min pump, 10 min break and another 10 min pump). You need to do this twice a day (morning and night) and the rest is normal pumping.

How old is your baby? Are you exclusively pumping or feeding directly from the breast?
