Period returning post partum - did you lose weight?

I’m 6 months partum and EBF, but baby (miraculously) has started sleeping 8-9 hours at a time overnight the last month or so and I’m now on my second period post partum.

A bit annoying to have period while EBF, I thought that was one of the perks!! But of course, very grateful for the sleep while it lasts.

i’m still a good stone or so heavier than my pre pregnancy weight and don’t seem to have lost any weight since the first few weeks post partum, which I presume is down to breastfeeding.

I am wondering whether the fact my periods have returned will mean my hormones are regulating and I may now find I lose some weight? I’m quite active and certainly don’t eat a ridiculous amount of junk, I’m trying to be more careful.

Interested in others experiences! Also did period returning mess up your supply, I’m a bit worried about that! Haven’t started weaning baby but planning to in the next week or so.

My period returned at 6 weeks PP despite EBF! I'm still breastfeeding now and my DD is 14 months. It didn't mess up my supply but I did notice a drop in the couple of days leading up to it, and maybe the first day of my period. I don't pump so the only signs were DD being a bit more fussy at the boob, feeding for longer, not settling after a feed etc.

Can't comment on the weight loss because it dropped off me (and I thought this was down to breastfeeding!)
