Should I be worried? Realised after that water went into his ears when bathing and concerned about it

It's fine. Where could it go and what damage would it do?

Babyboomtastic · 11/07/2024 21:53

He's recently spent 9 months with liquid in his ears. He'll be fine.

Ear injection or hearing loss or something. Wasn’t sure how to get the water out if they’d even possible

This isn’t something you need to worry about, the water will come out by itself and can’t cause any damage. As PP says they’re in liquid in utero for months and their ears are the same in there

LiterallyOnFire · 11/07/2024 22:49

It's fine. It'll come out as he turns his head.

Are you okay?

Think about what happens when you get water in your ears - ie nothing, it just comes out. Baby's ear anatomy is no different.
This is quite a little thing to be worried about. Being a first time parent can be an anxious time; are you feeling anxious in general?

What do you think happens to the rest of us that submerge our heads in water?

It’s bath water not stagnant pond water/ baby will be fine. The water will actually help clean his ears anyway (assuming the bath is clean).
