9 week old with a 4 week+ cold

Our little boy got a cold roughly 4 weeks ago and has has congestion and been generally bunged up during this time.

I have been using saline drops as advised. And sought reassurance from 111 and the GP/nurse. As his temperature is normal, he is feeding fine and generally the only difference is the congestion and sneezing sometimes.

However it does make night time sleeping a bit difficult as he'll go down fine but wake up in the middle of the might with a blocked nose/congestion and want to sleep on me/on his front/inclined - and then he'll sleep soundly for another 2-4 hours.

Have anyone else has cols that last this long in newborns? Any tips and tricks? I am aware because he is under 3 months there is a very lomited amount of what can be done. Thanks for advice in advance.

Has a dairy allergy been considered?

Or dust? Any animals?

Congestion and sneezing that isn't going away, I think I would consider allergies as well as a cold

Thanks, we have a dog, a big house with dust so yes will need to consider it and see what I can to do minimise it.
