ds thinks weeing everywhere is fun - which doesn't help potty training

what do we do? It's only been a few days but it's proving tricky. I really thought he was ready - this is second attempt as first which he instigated ended up with refusing to poo altogether.

now he keeps weeing everywhere and either reveling in my having to stop what I'm doing (even if that's reading him a story or doing something totally focusing on him).

I have tried putting him on the potty every half hour but he doesn't go and then the second he's off he wees somewhere else. I have just cordoned off the little playroom because he weed everywhere but don't want him to feel punished! What do I do? Or should we give up again and let him do it himself later? He's 3 in a few weeks.

sticker chart and lovely stickers when you wee on the potty?

try putting a ping pong ball in the potty/ loo to wee on / aim at. You can buy special ones with a face on, but I just drew a smiley on with permanent marker.

did the stickers thing - that worked to an extent but then we ran out of stickers he was interested in and weeing elsewhere was more appealing!

will try the ping pong ball.

he held on the entire morning at pre-school today then sat on the potty at home and produced no result and then went out to play and weed everywhere!
