My daughter has a funny patch kind of oval in shape just below her knee. It looks like it has a slightly defined ring/edge. What do you think? I will send pics to doctor tomorrow!

It doesn’t look like when I had ring worm. It looks like a bruise.

In my experience, ring worm is redder, with a dark red border and is pretty itchy.

Look up pityriasis rosea - does this fit other symptoms?

Isn't it just a bruise?
How long has she had it? If less than 2 weeks and not itchy/ painful I don't think it needs a GP.

Even if it was long-standing and uncomfortable perhaps show the pharmacist in the first instance.

Hi thanks - I have had a look. It matches the description apart from the itching as it isn’t bothering her at all. She’s had it about a week or so and no spread/other patches yet….

I had thought this originally but it does seem to have a defined circle and it’s not doing the typical fading/colour changing of a bruise. It’s been about 9 days. Pharmacist is a good shout!

My daughter had ring worm when she was 3, she caught it from her grandads farm, i thought it was flea bites to start with and then they started expanding out into the rings, i would say that is just a patch of dry skin, maybe eczema? x
