Can you tell me about your experience please?

Did you have a sweep? Did you decide to have an induction or wait?

I had 2 sweeps. Both very uncomfortable.

I decided to be induced when told as I’d read that after 42 weeks the placenta starts to break down.

Went in at 40 +13. Had a pessary in the afternoon. Intense contractions started the following morning. DS was born that night. I vomited and couldn’t keep any food down so ended up on a drip.

Had we decided to have a second, I wouldn’t have ruled out induction again purely because of the medical advice.
