3 year old runny / acidic poos

Hello all.
im wondering if anyone else has been through similar or can point me in the right direction.

my 3yo around a month ago randomly had some really disgusting nappies. Sorry to be tmi but they were massive and mucusy etc and very very acidic.

then around a week later he was severely constipated. after this passed he’s gone back to loose/ awful smelling nappies but not as severe as the first time.

he’s not been himself the last month, very very lively, hyperactive and unpredictable. I put this down to being a ‘threenager’ but now I’m wondering if it could be linked? He’s eating and drinking fine and has a varied diet. some days brilliant, some days it’s what I can throw together quickly!

also probably a stupid theory but we also got rid of his dummy just over a month ago and we’ve noticed his teeth are pushing together. Could getting rid of the dummy make a change to his bowel movements now it’s not in his mouth 24/7? I know the tongue/ mouth & digestion are all linked.

his poos used to be rather normal, had around 2 a day! I’m going to get in touch with GP but feel like I may get fobbed off.

the main reason I’m concerned is because I think it’s hindering potty training. Since the loose poos started he’s been totally freaked out by the potty/ toilet.
