DS will be starting reception in September and so we have a home visit booked in a couple weeks time. Does anytime know roughly what this entails? How long do they last? What are they looking for? DS like to know what is going so just want to give him a heads up

Ours was just a quick chat to introduce themselves to DD, and they had some pictures of the classroom and stuff they'd done in the year and chatted through it with her ("here's the playground, here's the farm visit we went on, here's where we sit for story time")
They went through a list of things they wanted to know if she could do (could she put her own coat on, could she go to the toilet independently, could she recognise her name written down etc fairly basic stuff)

Can't remember how long it lasted, but not long.

Played about ten minutes. I'm sure is just to check you live where you say you do in our area.
