8 day old feeding less and sleeping more - is it the heat?

Baby girl usually breast feeds every 1.5-2hours without fail and will have a nap in between. Today she’s been asleep since 12:30, we tried waking her at 4 for a feed but it took a lot of effort and she only managed 10 minutes on one boob and went back to sleep and has been asleep since. It now means she’s has 5 hours without a proper long, decent feed! Is it the weather or should I be worried?

A sleepy baby can be a sign of illness.

If she doesn't perk up very soon, you should get her checked over.

Id get her checked over tbh - especially as she was difficult to wake. Any temperature/rash?

Heat? Where are you that's it's hot?!

In all seriousness though a lethargic baby should be checked out.
