Hi I'm after some advice, my 14 week old baby boy has been fine, shown no signs of illness, no temp, he's had his jabs just 2 days ago plus the rota virus oral. Today he's just had a massive poop, his poo is normally this colour and sometimes this consistency too so not worried about that however, he's got these strange stretchy things in this nappy, they're not moving my first thought was worms? Hubby has googled it, said it could be mucus? Any ideas or anyone had anything similar?

He's formula fed, not changed his feed he's still on kendamil had no troubles in past.

TMI!!!!

I would take some advice from they GP online of you can send them the pics. It looks too formed in to the string shape to be mucus I think x

@Tryingtoconceivenumber2 they don't do that at my gp sadly, I'd need an appointment, it'd be too late now so wouldn't be till Monday? I did think it looked too formed to be mucus also, I havent noticed anything in any of his other nappies, it's slightly worried me now.

Is he fine in himself? Awke, alert, eating sleeping, weeing everything else seem normal?

If you can't be seen by the GP, then the other option would be to ring 111 and get their advice.

To me that looks like a tapeworm. Did you try removing and rinsing it to see what it looks like?

I'd ring the health visitor and ask their opinion op? They usually have mobiles and could check a picture? Are they having enough wet and dirty nappies during the day and is baby gaining weight?
