How and when did you PND get better?

Diagnosed PND (4.5 months postpartum)
Started medication next week and have upcoming counselling however I am really struggling. DP has had to book the rest of the week off work to support as I just can't stop crying.

Looking for experiences of how and when your PND got better as I'm struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I feel so bad on my perfect baby boy who is so happy and smiley. I am just letting him (and my partner who's great) down!

Mine gradually improved as DC got older and easier, and I got more sleep. Returning to work / keeping busy / adult company also helps.

Thanks - I do think sleep is a big trigger. Baby is either awake or I have insomnia. Tough !
