Tics in a happy 7yo girl?

My wonderful 7yo daughter has some tics, and I'm curious to know about other's experiences. Her main tic is a sniff-cough-sniff-cough in quick succession. she also does a sort of quick 'smile' movement with her mouth occasionally.

She is young in her year at school (july birthday) but you wouldn't know it to meet her! She's one of the tallest, generally a very happy child, academically very capable, and extremely sporty. She has one 'best' friend, and several other good friends.

Home life is solid, loving mum and dad and siblings.

Her dad said that he had some 'tics' as a child - he was very shy as a child though. I haven't had any (to the best of my knowledge!)

I am not worried, but it makes me curious. Is it anxiety? A normal part of development? Do we talk about them, or ignore them?

Grateful if anyone can share experiences, thank you

Its tics. They are not related to mental health. They are neurological. I have one or two children a year with them - out of maybe 200. Some grow out of it some don't
